Arya Samaj is the believer Hindu reform movement known for promoting ideas and behaviors based on the indubitable authority of the Vedas. Dayanand Saraswati, an ascetic known as a sannyasi, founded the samaj on April 10th, 1875.
The first Hindu organization to engage in proselytizing was Arya Samaj. The organization has worked to enhance India’s civil rights movement ever since 1800.
